Designing with Color

Designing with Color

Summertime and the living is easy! Events should also be relaxed and fun. Designing with color is a great way to set an inviting environment.

For this event, held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles — which features the tallest open-air bar in the Western Hemisphere — we used both the Hollywood ballroom and its adjacent outdoor patio area to create an indoor-outdoor feeling 73 stories above the city!

Color is a power which directly influences the soul.
Kandinsky

We designed a distinct aesthetic for each with color in mind. In the ballroom, vibrant colors added plenty of heat. Neon is back! We added neon palm trees, a gobo pattern on the walls to suggest a tropical environment. Floral was bold in both shape and color. Linen in alternating solids and patterns added yet another layer of visual interest. Entertainment was hot with a lively set provided by The Replicas.

Outside, we creates a more beach-like vibe for networking and intimate groupings. We started with a neutral palette for the furnishings then added tropical patterned linen and accent colors with the pillows. A fire pit was perfect for us to play off the natural wood tones of accent pieces.

Summer time is the perfect time to enjoy the best things in life with new and old friends, colleagues and business partners. In summer, no matter where they are held, events that are artfully infused with emotion, design, cuisine, music and magic instantly transport you and your guests from day-to-day life and to a time you can fully enjoy together.

We can take you there!
